Specialty
Striped bass is my specialty. I like rod in hand fishing, throwing artificial lures at striped bass. Light tackle, drag screaming, smiling faces. There will always be bait on board if all else fails. Plymouth, Massachusetts is a great launch point putting us in the middle of all the action. One to two people is what my boat is designed for which makes it ideal if you want to cast lures at stripers in shallow water. The 18 foot catamaran with a front platform that makes it feel as if you are just standing right over the water.
Option One
$300 / 4 hour trip
The perfect amount of time if you just want to get out and fish that morning rush when the bite is hot in the harbors with schoolies and some mixed bigger fish.
On these days we won’t shoot out into the bay unless that is where the bite is. There is always a bite happening somewhere near the land. The three bays of Plymouth, Kingston, and Duxbury provide enough opportunity to not leave there at all.
Option Two
$ 450/ 6 hour trip
-The best option for a good time on the water. Normally start it cruising looking for stripers on the surface feeding as they do most mornings.
-Depending on the weather and the fishing in cape cod bay, cruising the bay looking for schools of those 40-45 inch bass is always a blast. And you never know when a tuna will come busting through the school of ponies which are plentiful.
-These are also great trips to throw a couple tautog in the cooler when the striper bite slows down, or to just bend the rod on some of the strongest fighting fish for their size.
Option Three
$600 / 8 hour trip
-This time frame is great if you have the whole day and want to search for those bigger bass in cape cod bay.
-I must say, good sea legs and being comfortable on boats makes these longer days with open ocean driving much more enjoyable.
-Sometimes the fish are on “the other side of the pond” so we’ll spend some time getting around which makes the 8 hour days perfect for not missing out on any of the action.
-This length of a trip is also perfect for a full morning of chasing stripers, then spend the rest of the day anchored up pulling up delicious tautog.
