Meet The Captain

My name is Richie Antonino, second generation charter boat captain and fishing and hunting enthusiast. Growing up, I learned how to talk probably the same time I learned how to fish, falling in love at a very early age. Hunting came after, still in my very early years from trips up to my mother’s hometown in New York where we hunted deer and celebrated thanksgiving year after year. Now waterfowl I picked up in high school but only falling in love in my short time at college. Attending Lake Superior State for a semester in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I reaffirmed myself that school wasn’t my strong suit as I found myself skipping class to either hunt or fish in the real country.

I have always enjoyed not only the sport of hunting/fishing, but the whole lifestyle that comes with it, from the people, the environment, the lessons, and being able to be involved in nature the way I believe we are supposed to be. The lessons I was taught instilled a great set of ethics to which I am proud of. I love taking friends and family out, whether it be hunting or fishing to show them my passion and hopefully give them the itch I get. Sporting with the new generation is vital in my opinion to let them get the lessons of the “right” way of doing things.

What you get when you book a charter with me is meeting the captain at the dock or the launch with a smile on my face and the optimism that is contagious. A day full of laughs, and great times. Personalized trips to cater to what YOU want, the best way I can provide my services. Fishing with light tackle is the name of the game. “I want you to fight the fish, not the tackle” as my dad always says. Living 20 minutes above the Cape in Plymouth, Massachusetts, we are surrounded by plentiful opportunity. Stripers, bluefish, tautog, bergall(cunner), Black Sea bass, scup, fluke, flounder, sharks, mackerel, bonito, false albacore. For waterfowl the cape offers some of the best sea duck hunting with plentiful opportunity for gorgeous wall mounting ducks like eiders, old squaw, buffleheads, greater and lesser scuap, brant, hooded mergansers, mergansers, black ducks, mallards, widgeon, gadwall. These are the most common ducks found in this area and the targeted species.

If you want specialized inshore trips, I’ll take you there! Always happy to share my passion with someone else and make endless memories in the process. I don’t want one and done charters, I want to see my clients year in and year out.
